Hello everyone! I’m excited for my very first post on the Anaiah Press blog. I’m here today to tell you a little about myself and a lot about Anaiah Press and what’s in store for us (and our authors).
About me: I’m an editor, Navy wife, and mother. I have almost 15 years combined experience in marketing, editing/ publishing, and small business management. I use every bit of that experiential knowledge every day for Anaiah Press. And sometimes, I work at the beach — because I live in Florida, and I can do that!
Now, for the good stuff, I get to tell you a lot about Anaiah Press from the standpoint of Executive Editor.
Anaiah Press has taken off more than I think any of us thought it would. Our lineup is is completely full until February 2015, and our Adventures and Romance imprints are full until June 2015, with additional titles scheduled through the end of next year. We expect our entire Spring 2015 lineup to be full by the end of July. In fact, we’ve gotten so busy, our managing editors have had to close to direct submissions.
Don’t worry, querying authors can still submit to submissions[at]anaiahpress[dot]com, or submit directly to any of our senior editors, with the exception of Sarah Joy Freese. Because she is also employed by Wordserve Literary, she does not acquire for Anaiah Press in order to avoid a conflict of interest. For a full list of our senior editors and their wishlists, visit www.anaiahpress.com.
Right now, we’re gearing up for the launch of our first release, A Long and Winding Road: A Caregiver’s Tale of Life, Love, and Chaos. It’s a touching memoir by Linda Brendle which follows her journey with her husband and her aging parents in a forty-foot-RV. It releases on July 1st, and boy are we excited! We’ve all spent many months working long hours to prepare for launch, and now we’re like children on our way to Disney. Seriously, the enthusiasm around here is almost palpable.
After A Long and Winding Road, we have many other great books lined up. In fact, we’ll be releasing one new book every other week through the end of the year. Then, in January, we’re going to make the move to one book every week, and we can’t wait! Even more exciting, we hope to have all of our imprints operating on their own autonomous release schedules by 2016. I hope that you all will join us for our launch and be a part of our journey as we grow to be a Mighty Presence.

Hi Ms. Plantz!
I’m in the middle of reviewing Linda’s book and it is such a fabulous read I’m having a hard time putting it down! What a great way to kick off the summer lineup. Thanks for being such a great leader to all of the authors, including myself, who feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful Anaiah “family”…
Nice to meet you, Eden! I’m a former California girl who now lives in Florida with my husband and our twelve-year-old son, and my father-in-law is a (retired) Navy man. : )
Thanks for sharing a behind the scenes peek. It’s exciting to see this shiny small press grow so quickly! Anaiah is God’s answer to a world that needs more Light.
Congratulations on the upcoming launch, and may God continue to bless Anaiah Press!
HI Eden (or fearless leader as I like to call you), I loved hearing a little more about you! I feel so incredibly blessed to be one of the inaugural authors for Anaiah Press! Thank you for seeing my book for the diamond it is and for taking a chance on an unknown author. Thank you, also, for answering all my zillion questions and for being so patient with me! You are so funny too!
I feel like a kid at Christmas and I can’t wait for July 1st! Counting the days now… 🙂
Eden, I will forever remember the moment in my mother-in-law’s sun room when I looked down at my phone and saw the email from you. It was a turning point in my life. I love everyone at Anaiah Press and look forward to a long relationship with all of you. 5 MORE DAYS!!!
Blessings,
Linda
