Changes and Growth: Anaiah Press Imprints and Beyond
I’m excited to announce that some neat changes are in the works here at Anaiah Press.
Anaiah Surge (our YA imprint) is branching out, and will begin operating more autonomously. To start, Anaiah Surge now has its own twitter: https://twitter.com/SurgeBooks so be sure to follow us over there and show your support for our amazing YA authors. Also, Surge is moving out of the Anaiah Press website and will have its own cyber apartment over the garage. You can find the new Anaiah Surge site here: http://www.anaiahpress.com/surge. Surge also has its own dedicated staff. Kara will continue to act as Editorial Director over the imprints, but Laura Maisano will officially be the go-to gal for all things Surge as the main acquiring editor.
Another exciting change is the reopening of our Presence imprint for speculative fiction. When we made the decision to close this imprint last year, it was with heavy hearts, and we always hoped that the door would open again in the future. We strongly believe that time has come. Heading this imprint up in editorial will be Sean Connell and Abraham Kane. Abraham will also be lending his marketing skills to publicity for this imprint. Presence also has its own cyber in-law suite on the Anaiah site. You can find it at http://www.anaiahpress.com/presence and on twitter as @presencebooks. Feel free to stop by and show them some twitter love.
Anaiah Presence will official open to unsolicited submissions on May 1st, 2016. For guidelines and information on how to submit, please visit http://www.anaiahpress.com/presence/submissions.html
Anaiah Press Editorial Director, Kara Leigh Miller, and Anaiah Presence acquiring editor, Abraham Kane, will be attending Realm Makers this summer and taking pitches. If you’re planning to attend, be sure to say hello.
