Meet author Allison Pearl!

Allison’s second book in the Love and Danger series released this week. Let’s meet Allison again and learn about her life!

What book do you wish you could have written?

Anything by the Bronte sisters. The themes weaved into their books were truly the work of visionaries writing way beyond their time. And even though their stories are unforgettable, you find yourself reading them again and again.

What is your best marketing tip?

Just get out there and interact with people in any way you can. Both online and off. I know that can be hard as a lot of us—me included—are introverts. But the thing you need to remember, is that you’re talking about something you love. Books are the bridge between walks of life. In them, I think we can all find some common ground.

What do you do when you’re not writing?

I take lazy walks with my lazy lab, Sal. My husband and I just love her! So much so that we even gave her a hashtag: #whosagoodsal. She’s an old gal with a rough past, but her little quirks have captured our hearts. Rescuing her was a great decision. She’s the perfect example of how love can heal all wounds.

How did you come up with the title of your book?

By remembering some of my favorite things. Two in particular: Doughnuts and Coffee. Sometimes, I wonder if this whole series sprung from an empty stomach and a caffeine craving. The more words written the more treats I get to enjoy.

Is there anything you’d like to say to your readers?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys showed so much love to the first book in this series. I was blown away. From the book clubs who featured it and the amazing reviews posted online, you all made Glazed Suspicion a fantastic success.

Nicole Appleton’s life is finally perfect. With a sweet shop all her own and a handsome fiancé ready to walk her down the aisle, she couldn’t be happier. At least until she discovers that not only was she orphaned by a criminal legend, but the silent mastermind running the vast network has tracked her down. What could he want from her? And one of his associates may be closer than she thinks. Could he even be the man she’s supposed to marry?

Sheriff’s deputy, Josh Bennet, can’t wait to say ‘I do’ but the stranger stalking his bride-to-be has other plans. Josh has always depended on his strength and intelligence, but he’s failed to see the skeletons buried in his hometown or to keep the women he loves from slipping through his fingers. After all, Josh lost his first wife to illness. Will he lose his fiancée to murder now that she’s pushed him away? What will he have to give up to make her believe he’s the good guy? He wants to be writing his vows not planning an escape, but if they can’t find out the truth, it won’t just be their wedding plans getting cut short. It will be their lives.
