New Romance Editor Open for Submissions!

We are pleased to introduce our newest Senior Editor, Candee Fick!

 

Candee Fick is a multi-published award-winning author. She is also the wife of a high school football coach and the mother of three children, including a daughter with a rare genetic syndrome. When not busy editing, writing, or coaching other authors, she can be found cheering on the home team at sporting events, exploring the great Colorado outdoors, indulging in dark chocolate, and savoring happily-ever-after endings through a good book.

She is a member of both American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and the Christian Proofreaders and Editors Network. Her fiction has semi-finaled, finaled, and/or won the ACFW Genesis Contest and Selah Awards.

Candee will be working primarily in our Romance Imprint, which means she will be acquiring and editing adult romance manuscripts.

Candee’s Wish list:

I adore romance stories that tug on my heartstrings while also reflecting and honoring the Creator’s sacrificial love for His creation. Whether contemporary, historical, or suspense, I’m looking for well-developed characters who rely on (or come to) faith as they overcome seemingly-insurmountable obstacles in unique settings or situations. Romance readers expect a predictable formula as the plot unfolds, but I’m looking for a twist on the familiar that is both unexpected and completely satisfying. I’m also captivated by strong writing from authors who have obviously studied the craft and found their voice.
